Experience spanning 12 years...

Working with young  people aiming for Modern Apprenticeships & NVQ’s , for a Private Training firm.

Working for a  prominent UK Alcohol/drug misuse Rehabilitation Centre, much of that seconded to

Social Services and working with adults in their own homes to help them end the destructive cycle of  abuses.

Then 5 years with a Southhampton based Charity Group for vulnerable & abused children, where I headed a

large unit of volunteer Mentors - This is based on the USA ‘ Big Brother – Big Sister'.

Level 3 Foster Carer, working with extremely vulnerable youths & families.

More recently as a manager for domicillary care, heading up a team of 25 plus carers working directly in the

community. Working directly with CQC standards.

From this great amount of One to One working experience, plus managing teams, professional & voluntary

- all to lead the damaged and hurt to a point of self respect, reliance and awareness - which damage, as we

all know, is sown in childhood, reaped as adults and the cycle of negative oblivion continued

- has now formed the strength and confidence in me to offer my courses and spread that energy of confidence

 through awareness and clarity of purpose.

My courses are just that. A joint search via serial lively discussion to form a lasting and positive force of benefit to

all concerned that operates throughout the communities we serve. The values of realising common and shared

experience leading to resolve is greater than the sum of it’s parts, and you need have no fear of classroom/flipchart lectures.

Background: I grew up in Berkshire and from youth worked with horses, dogs and other stock . I still have and

work with dogs in agility/obedience areas [my mother has a very successful career in agility training for dogs & is

a national contest judge]. I have found that my dogs have proved valuable in releasing trust and feelings in many of

the damaged young people that I have had in my care. I am a fully qualified Open Water Diver. Love the sea, on or

under it. Best location for me has been The Red Sea – Egypt.

The major job before all that’s listed above was as a PA for one of the two major political parties.

Young and in at the deep end I learnt a great deal about people and their intentions.
